Prior to the opening of Disney's animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire, the media blitz included at least one television documentary promoting the false view that Atlantis was a real place, and not the allegorical tale as Plato wrote it. But there was a twist: the producers wanted legitimate scientists to come on the show and suggest that Atlantis might actually have been real (which is, of course, not true).

Professor of Archaeology Ken Feder, a leading expert who has written extensively on the myth of Atlantis, tells his story here of how the producers tried to misrepresent his work.
